About Us
Our Mission is to provide access to hot water for all African people who could not previously afford it. Improving the quality of life via increased hygiene and therefore restoring dignity.
CREST Solar (Pty) Ltd was established in 2009 with the sole purpose of developing a solar water geyser for Africa at a fraction of the historical cost of conventionally manufactured solar water geysers. It has subsequently developed a 100% polymer (plastic) Solar Water geyser – a first in the world, and manufactured in South Africa.
Local solar water heater factories will create jobs and reduce carbon emissions due to the supply of solar geysers rather than electrical geysers.

John Lindsay-Smith
Technical advisor
John has been a technical advisor to CREST for the last 10 years with an engineering degree and 40 years experience in the polymer industry.
